A few years ago one of our friends got his hands on six curling rocks and thought it would be fun to try outdoor curling. It turns he was right – even people who have never curled or typically avoid anything related to the sport seem to enjoy curling when it involves fresh air, awesome scenery, and maybe a drink or two. For the past few winters now, Chris has cleared and flooded part of the creek by his camp/cottage to create an outdoor curling rink on the shore of Lake Superior. Here are pictures from this year’s bonspiel (i.e. curling tournament).
