We were very well greeted in Marseille by Curniss’ uncle Martin, with whom we spent two days. We crammed in as much as possible while we were on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, from the beaches of Marseille, the rocky shoreline of the calanques, the alleyways and terrasses of the vieux port (old port), and the beautiful sea-side port of Cassi. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to visit the famous church Notre-Dame de la Garde but we did admire its exterior and enjoyed a sunset over Marseilles from the limestone peak of 149m on which it is situated.
